A DIARY OF MY SIDE PROJECTS
FALL 2025

Lasercut Jack-in-the-Box
My first project in the Iovine and Young Creator studio! Using the lasercutting facility, I constructed a jack in the box, taking out the music box mechanism from an existing jack in the box. The visual design of the box is inspired by vintage toys and typography.

SPRING 2025

Ever since I watched a girl make and paint her own dress on YouTube as a 9th grader
I was determined to make
my own prom dress my
senior year.
There were some hiccups in the making process so I ended up omitting the sleeves and some beading. Maybe I will come back to this project at a later time to achieve the original design.

Picking up Knitting
Ever since I started to pick up knitting in 10th grade I have been trying to learn new techniques. I followed Tommy's sheep crochet and knitting tutorial on YouTube. I learned how to increase and decrease here on circular needles.

SPRING 2025
More recently I have been learning color-work. I have learned how to catch my floats along the way :) Feeling a bit more like a experienced knitter now.
Perhaps my next project will be the fair isle mittens!
FALL 2024

Transforming Pumpkins into Sculptures
My High School had an annual fundraiser where students could turn pumpkins into auction-able works of art. These are my two pumpkin creations from my Senior year at OCSA. One being a carousel and the other a death wedding cake with the name "Til' Death Do us Part."
